Protecting God’s Children – please complete by May 15th, 2026.
This is very important: Parish volunteers are now required to renew their Protecting God’s Children certification every 3 years. This is an Archdiocese-wide requirement. I was informed by letter from the Archdiocese last summer that we are currently not in compliance – and that we must be in compliance – by this summer. They will be following up. We are setting a deadline of May 15th. Training can be completed online or in-person:
Online Training
Both new (“First Time Registrant”) and renewal (“Existing Account”) training can be completed directly through the PCG website.
Important: if you are renewing your training and have forgotten your existing account username, please reach out to Lori below.
The renewal training is less intensive than first-time training: www.virtus.org
In-person Training
Both new (“First Time Registrant”) and renewal (“Existing Account”) training can be done in-person.
This will be offered at St. John Vianney on Saturday, March 7th. There are other parishes hosting in-person sessions on other days.
