Confraternity for Holy Souls, St. John Vianney Chapter

The mission of this group is to cooperate in the Communion of Saints and pray for

the holy souls who are unable to pray for themselves. A quote from the Archdiocese of Detroit: “Every soul should have the opportunity to enter heaven.” Sadly, many of those souls have no one to pray for them and that is where we come in with our act of mercy.

  We discuss:

How to pray for the holy souls.

Why we pray for holy souls.

     Church teachings on purgatory.

     Church teachings on indulgences.

Pray with us every Tuesday at 6pm in church for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

We also meet once a month, on the 3rd Tuesday in Room A, at 5 pm,

to learn more about this great devotion together.

All are welcome.

Prayer of Saint Gertrude the Great
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home, and within my family. Amen.
