Women’s Saturday Morning Bible Study
The sessions will be led by Anita Houghton. Anita is a parishioner at St. John Vianney and apart-time faculty member at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit,
teaching courses in Sacred Scripture.
The schedule of meetings will mostly parallel the Men’s Group that meets twice per month on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Participants are invited to participate in Mass in the church from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on scheduled meeting days. Meetings will begin in September and continue through the beginning of April. Most sessions will be in person, but some will be held virtually via Zoom.
This year, we will be studying from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah according to the schedule below. Please try to read the assigned readings ahead of the day we will discuss them. We will be using the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible, which can be purchased on Amazon or any online Catholic Bookstore. Participants may purchase a copy if they wish.
