Saturday Morning Women’s Bible Study and Fellowship
This Bible Study is an opportunity for women of all ages to gather and break open the Word of God. Gatherings will include a teaching on Scripture and an opportunity for small group discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in person or via Zoom.
The sessions will be led by Anita Houghton. Anita Houghton is the Associate Director of Evangelization for the Archdiocese of Detroit and a part-time faculty member at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, teaching courses in Sacred Scripture. The schedule of meetings will parallel the Men’s Group that meets twice per month on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in the Social Hall. Participants are invited to participate in Mass/Communion Service in the church from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on scheduled meeting days. Meetings will begin in September and continue through May. This year, we will be studying the St. Paul’s First and Second Letters to the Corinthians according to the schedule below. Please try to read the assigned readings ahead of the day we will discuss them. Those who wish to have further small group discussions will arrange small group sessions with their small group leader.

What Bible should I use? This is a common question. Participants can use any Bible, but the recommended translations are New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE) or the New Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition (NRSVCE).
