Stained Glass Windows in the Adoration Chapel
To create a truly beautiful and inspirational place for prayer, the adoration chapel will contain an abundance of stained glass that features images of the saints gathered around the sacred space.
The parish has contracted with Willet Studios of Winona, MN to manufacture the stained glass. Willet is renowned for its work that can be found in the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and the Cadet Chapel at West Point.

In order to fund the manufacture and installation of the glass, the parish is offering the opportunity for window sponsors to be commemorated and include a dedicatory memorial in the the window. As of July 2026, 17 of the 23 saint windows have been funded.
If you are interested in sponsoring a window or have any questions, please reach out to Lori Rafferty at lrafferty@sjvshelby.org.
1) Upper Glass Donations
The upper glass in the main south window has been fully funded, and the parish is now raising funds for the upper glass on the east and west sides. Donations can be made through a pledge card, or by placing them in the designated capital campaign collection box in the hallway.
2) Upper Glass Sponsorships
It is also possible for individuals or families to sponsor one of the 6 upper east and west sections, which will include a small dedicatory memorial in the window. Each window is 8 feet tall by 32 inches wide. While this is a significant commitment of $10,000, the simplified pattern does mean they will be more affordable than a saint sponsorship.
3) Saint Sponsorships
The parish is offering the opportunity for window sponsors to pick a saint of their choosing to be commemorated and include a dedicatory memorial at the bottom of the window. Each window is 6 feet tall by 32 inches wide. The parish is asking for a commitment of $50,000 to sponsor a window. Approximately one-half of the cost will cover the production and installation of the stained glass saint in the chapel. The other half helps to mitigate the debt the parish is incurring due to the campus expansion project. The following saints have been chosen and funded:
St. Anne
St. Francis of Assisi
St. Ignatius of Loyola
St. John XXIII
St. John Baptist de la Salle
St. John Paul II
St. John Vianney
St. Joseph
St. Margaret Mary
Mary, Queen of All Saints
St. Michael the Archangel
St. Philomena
St. Rita of Cascia
Bl. Solanus Casey
St. Teresa of Avila
St. Teresa of Calcutta
St. Thomas Aquinas
